Mid Norfolk Besom began
in earnest after several of us attended the Besom conference
in March 2006, so we are still in our infancy. We are based
in Ashill, Norfolk, which is a small village (population
1600), about 3 miles out of the nearest town, and 30 miles
from Norwich.
What we do
Besom is a
bridge between those who want to give and those in need in
our community. We believe the first steps to helping are
often the hardest because we don’t know how to or where the
need is. Besom aims to make those first steps possible and
enjoyable.
How to get
involved
Giving
Things
We accept
good quality furniture, household Items and clothing, all of
the highest quality, as we believe it is an expression of
God's love in what we give.
At the moment
we do not have any storage facility so can only take small
items. We ask those who have larger items to give, such as
furniture, to store them for us until we can match donors
and recipients.
Giving
Time as an Individual
Individuals
can get involved by giving Time. This can be done in a
number of ways. We welcome those who would like to sort and
put together packages of clothes and household items for
individuals, as well as those who have time to help us
collect and deliver items of furniture from those who are
giving to those who do not have.
We are often
amazed by the perfect match between gifts that are given,
and people’s need as God provides for people in our
community.If you feel
you would like to get involved or if you work with those who
would benefit from out help, we would love to hear from you.
