South Norfolk
We first came across Besom when our son and his wife were opening some of their Wedding presents. When they saw they had been given two sandwich toasters, they said, "We can give one to Besom." We had no idea what Besom was so we decided to investigate. That was in September 2005.
We discovered there was a Besom in Norwich and when we attended a Besom presentation there, we found we were sitting next to someone that we had never met before, but who was from one of the churches in our rural Benefice. We all went to the Besom conference at Holy Trinity Brompton, London and we were enthused. A visit to Besom HQ simply reinforced our desire to be involved.
We have a Core Team who organize Besom activities and together we have seen the generosity of people in giving many excellent quality items that have been passed on, through Besom, to people who really need them.
What a pleasure! What a privilege!
How to get involved
Giving Time
We can help you to give your time through us as an individual by organising van trips. We arrange for things to be collected and passed on and you get to experience, as the van criss crosses around South Norfolk, sewing up the gap between those who have and those who are in need.
Alternatively you could get together a group from church to paint, decorate, garden, clean or do some simple DIY for someone in need in South Norfolk. Just let us know where and when and we’ll find something that fits your group’s heart and skills.
There are other ways in which you can give your time or skills and we are open to suggestions. Just get in touch and we can arrange something suitable for you.
Giving Things
We only accept the very best quality items for those who have nothing. If you have clothes, furniture or household items you’d like to pass on, please get in touch and we’ll arrange a collection.
Operating Hours
We are available to help you give at any time
