The Besom In Sawston started in October 2013. We serve Sawston and the neighbouring villages within a 10-minute drive radius.

Now, from 2017 onwards, we have been absorbed by The Besom In Cambridge and exist in Sawston as follows…

What we do

We have a team of people who put together Baby Bundle boxes and deliver them to local mums and families in need.

Boxes cover girls and boys, 0-3 months and 3-6 months.

The people we help are referred to us through the John Huntingdon Charity in Sawston, the Children’s Centre in Sawston and the local Health Visiting team.

God’s heart for those in need

Through our service to our community we aim to help people understand more of God’s heart for giving and pray that our recipients might desire to come to know Jesus for themselves.

God knows what is needed, often before we do, and we frequently delight in his generosity and his provision of just the right thing at just the right time.

Donations of clean baby clothes aged 0-6 months and any ‘as new’ toys are welcomed.

Prayer and Practicality

The team meets once per month to put together the Baby Bundle boxes and to pray through what God has given us to do.
