East Belfast
East Belfast Besom started in September 2004 serving the East Belfast inner city and even, on a few occasions, beyond.
What we do
We accept clothes, toys, furniture, kitchen equipment and other household items and these are given away, usually in response to requests from Social Services, Simon Community, etc. Volunteers come together in our warehouse on Tuesday afternoons to sort, iron and pray. We also have a bunch of helpers to wash, iron and mend clothes at home.
We get involved in cleaning, decorating and gardening too. Home Groups from Willowfield Parish Church are ‘on call’ for these jobs.
We have a steadily growing army of volunteers and are seeing God move and soften peoples’ hearts to the plight of the poor.
