Ballynahinch
The
Besom Ballynahinch undertakes a range of projects in the
Ballynahinch district and further afield.
Blessings Flow
The
Besom provides a wide variety of opportunities for people to reach
out into the community and help others in practical ways.
In
recent months it has been encouraging to see how items provided have
met specific needs. One example of this was when some clothes which
had been donated proved to be just the right size and style for a
young foreign man whose needs came to our attention.
Other
projects included work in an elderly gentleman's home and, in
another home, some redecoration, which enabled a young mother to
have her children home for Christmas.
People met through early projects when the Besom - Ballynahinch
first started out, were revisited just before Christmas and
much-appreciated Christmas hampers were delivered.
Giving Things
If
you have good quality items you wish to give away, The Besom at
Ballynahinch would love to receive them. We can pass them on to
vulnerable people who really need them. This includes homeless
people who have been rehoused, refugees and families in need. Some
example of items in need are: furniture, linen, non-perishable food,
crockery, towels, curtains, toys, cutlery, kitchen equipment.
Giving Money
If
you are unable to give time or things you may be able to give money.
Any amount, large or small will be well used.
Prayer
The
Besom team are committed to prayer being a central part of The Besom
at Ballynahinch.
